I am a Artist and Sound Designer who loves art and progressive life. Most if not all of the work I created were based on my feelings in this plain: wickedness, unfairness, peace and war, etc. I created tracks such as Planet Blood years ago to exemplify the sometimes sad state of this Planet or cosmic tracks such as Magnificent Wings to escape it. As a artist it is our job to paint what we see: Darkness or light. I created this Occupy Wall Street Soundtrack collection of old and new tracks – along with the soundtrack video Rebellious Ones … to represent the day and time.
There is definitely something wrong with a system when too much power
and wealth is concentrated in the hands of too few people. Part of the economic failure we’re seeing right now comes to this hard truth – big companies have let all of us down. We’ve been let down as citizens, consumers, employees and investors. Companies wasted resources and lined the pockets of rich executives and wall street types.
The reality is that incomes haven’t increased for the average American worker for
over 40 years but incomes of the top 1% of Americans more than doubled. The rich “wall street types” and executives pay grew multiple times that of the average worker to over 300 times the average worker’s pay.
We talk about the 1% and the 99% but what about the bottom 99%. Within the 99% there are groups who are so far down the ladder, you can argue that some in the 99% are not close to poverty or struggling. Within the 1% there are groups so far up the ladder, they can buy several of their own countries. Unbelievable.
There are people suffering and living below the poverty line while others are extremely rich and refuse to do the right thing and spread the wealth with jobs and equality. No handouts, just creating more wealth. Imagine if super rich families like the Walton Family(Walmart) decide to pay higher wages and hire more qualified people. There would be more equality and they would still be rich – maybe not super rich but very rich. Somehow the 1% can’t expect to have struggling citizens sitting back and watching as they continue to dictate power and control over politicians while they screw the 99%. The movement is not quite focused … But I can see where Occupy Wall Street’s main theme is that the 99% or the struggling workers and poor are fed up with the 1% screwing the citizens while their trust fund kids do reality TV and other stupid shit. We are in the prelude to chaos and mayhem in 2012. If this is not dealt with fairly there will be a bridge to mass mayhem.
It is interesting that these same Wall Street executives are spending hundreds of thousands and over millions to protect their families from a potential judgment day. Why not do the right thing and stop ripping off your workers or “slaves” as you see and sometimes refer to them. Stop stealing their monies and funds to secretly invests in stocks they never gave you permission to invest in. Criminals.
Hardworking smart people are being fired for not playing office politics. How about we stand up and say screw them. Have a backbone and take some chances. Screw the gate-keeping-glass-ceiling huggers and be a gate jumper … We should stop using Facebook and social media for dumb shit, stupidity and gossip… If anything, use social media to create a business and help ourselves. Help your country.
College tuitions are getting higher and students are not learning anything. THe Only thing they are learning is to keep on feeding the business of education(the rich keeps on getting richer) and learn to cheat, and be dishonest. You can actually graduate from college without certain so called “required courses” …you never heard that from me. Unless you are studying to be a engineer, doctor, or scientist, a college education can be a necessary waste and drain on your financial health. Take it from me, I am still trying to pay it back over a decade later.
There has never been a better time to create your own economy – and
make it a thriving one. But now – right now – and not later, is the time to
begin. ~Lea Woodward
The New era of change is reaching critical mass, and there’s no stopping it now. The question is, are you prepared to stand up and be part of it or will you be left behind?
Occupy Wall Street, Take over the capitol and Occupy the planet. Power to the people.
